Mobile infrastructure has become an important part of the urban setting and can greatly influence the way in which spaces are utilized. In project Nirdaliya, Ekta Lari aims to encourage people to be independent and not rely on outside sources for job, health and other essentials. But at the same time, it also looks into the unity of the community, its interaction and bonding.
Ekta laari is a community engagement lari that provides basic needs and provides a platform for people to express themselves. Thus, trying to improve the quality of life in the community.
Ekta laari is a community engagement and a place-making laari that has certain elements that could be commonly used in multiple ways. In a transit camp, not everyone has the access to basic health care, education or water. Ekta laari in this case acts as a multi-purpose laari that provides basic needs and also provides a platform for people to address issues and voice their opinions. It encourages people to be independent and not rely on an outside source for food, job, education, etc.
The laari creates a platform for residents to come together and enhance the experience of community living.
